  1. What does DARTstore.org citation payment allow me to do?

    DARTstore.org citation payment allows you to pay fare evasion, single occupant and crossing double white line citations online. DARTstore.org citation payment does not allow you to pay any other types of citations and it does not allow you to contest a citation.

  2. What if I don't have my citation number?

    For the security of your personal information, inquiries regarding citation payment will be accepted using only the citation number, mitigating the need to exchange other personal information. If you don't have your citation number, you can call the DART Police Records Section at 214-749-3999.

  3. Why isn't my citation number in the system?

    First, only fare evasion, single occupant and crossing double white line citations will appear on DARTstore.org. If your citation is for any other type of violation, you must follow the instructions on the back of the citation or click here for those instructions.

    Second, if you cannot locate your citation number on DARTstore.org, the citation may not have been entered into our records system yet. Normally, citations are entered daily, but in some cases, a few days are required before the citation is available for payment online. Please allow at least two (2) business days for the entry of any citation into the system.

  4. Why won't DARTstore.org let me pay my citation?

    Sometimes the web may not be available for making inquiries or accepting payments due to technical problems. If you are unable to access the DARTstore.org, it should be available within one or two hours.

  5. What if I get a message that the system is not available?

    If you should receive a message that the system is unavailable for accepting payments, it should be available within one or two hours. Sometimes the site may not be available for processing.

  6. How do I pay a citation for a violation other than fare evasion, single occupant or crossing double white line?

    DARTstore.org only allows you to pay for fare evasion, single occupant and crossing double white line citations. If your citation is for any other type of violation, you must follow the instructions on the back of the citation or click here for those instructions.

  7. How do I contest my citation?

    DARTstore.org does not allow for contesting a citation. If you wish to contest a citation, please follow the instructions on the back of the citation or click here for those instructions.

  8. If I fail to pay the administrative fee for my citation within 30 days of the offense, what will happen?

    If you do not pay the administrative fee for a citation within 30 days of the offense, the citation will be submitted to the appropriate Justice of the Peace Court for a judicial resolution. Should this occur, please follow the instructions on the back of the citation for disposing of the case with a judicial resolution or click here for those instructions.

  9. What type of credit cards do you accept?

    DARTstore.org accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

  10. How does DARTstore.org citation payment work?

    Once you have entered your citation number in the system, click the "Submit" button. You will be transferred to the shopping cart for check out. After you've verified your selection, click the "check out" button. In the next section, you will be asked for shipping information which will assist us in including you on any future customer offerings or sales promotions for merchandise or transit services. Then, you will be asked for your credit card information. After inputting your credit card information, click on "Send Order." Your credit card information will be validated and the amount of the charge will be submitted. If the credit card information is valid and sufficient approval is received for the amount you are paying, your credit card company will issue an approval to the site. The payment will be immediately applied to the citation and you will see the charge on your next credit card statement. You should print the online receipt for your records, or you can also receive an email receipt if you enter an email address. Please be aware that when you receive your credit card statement, the transaction for payment of your citation will indicate payment to Dallas Area Rapid Transit. This shall serve as further verification of the transaction's validity.

  11. Is DARTstore.org a secure place for divulging credit card or other personal information?

    DARTstore.org uses a 128-bit encryption, which is the highest level of encryption available. This is the same security used on all web payment applications. This site does not store any information about your credit card. Once an approval or rejection is received, the information is purged from the system.

  12. What is encryption?

    Encryption is the scrambling of information for transmission back and forth between two points. A key is required to decode the information. When you inquire about your fare evasion citation, the request is sent encrypted to DARTstore.org. DARTstore.org then decodes your request for information and sends it back to your computer in an encrypted format. When you receive it, your information is decoded so that you can read it. Because your fare evasion citation information is being transmitted between your computer and DARTstore.org, encryption protects your information so it cannot be intercepted and read by a third party. DARTstore.org uses the highest level of encryption (128-bit) to ensure your online transmissions are secure.

  13. Why is my email address requested for online citation payments?

    Your email address will be used to confirm receipt of your online payment, or to notify you should there be a need to refund your payment.
