DART's July 4 Holiday Schedule
In observance of Independence Day, July 4, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will operate on the following schedule:
Bus and light rail services will follow a Saturday schedule on Friday, July 3 and a Sunday schedule on Saturday, July 4.
The Trinity Railway Express will follow a modified schedule Friday, July 3 and will not operate on Saturday, July 4. Modified schedules for the TRE can be found at www.trinityrailwayexpress.org

July 3 Fireworks on Main is a hometown celebration of freedom with live music, activities and fireworks from 6 to 10 p.m. in downtown Rowlett. Information: ci.rowlett.tx.us/Rowlett.July 3 The Farmers Branch Independence Day Celebration offers food, fun and fireworks in the nostalgic setting of Farmers Branch Historical Park, 2540 Farmers Branch Lane. July 3 Kaboom Town! is Addison's annual Independence Day celebration with food, historic warplane flyovers, live music and dazzling fireworks. The free festival is from 5 p.m. to midnight at Addison Circle Park, 4970 Addison Circle Drive. July 4 Plano's Independence Day Parade celebrates the city's colorful past and bright future with floats, marching bands, antique cars and entries by dozens of businesses and community organizations. The parade begins at 9 a.m. at Plano Senior High School at Park Blvd. and marches up Independence Parkway to Spring Creek Parkway. July 4 Fair Park Fourth features spectacular fireworks, patriotic music, carnival games, great food and more throughout the grounds of historic Fair Park. The event from 5-10 p.m. is free and includes admission to the park's museums. Information: fairpark.org

The 23rd Annual Taste of Dallas Festival is the largest outdoor food festival in Dallas. Visit the Gourmet Pavilion where local celebrity chefs will cook up some of their legendary fare as well as host demonstrations, food samplings and wine tastings. There's also arts and crafts from regional vendors, live music and interactive events. EVENTS IN FORT WORTH:
The T's Safari Shuttle Adventure Express is a vintage-look trolley leaving on the hour and 1/2 hour from the Fort Worth ITC Station with stops at the Fort Worth Zoo and ITC. Beginning May 30, the Zoo shuttle will stop at the "Molly the Trolley" sign at the OMNI Hotel. The ITC Station is located at 1001 Jones St. in downtown Fort Worth. Returning to the ITC Station is simple - board where you got off. Return trips from the Zoo board every 30 minutes between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.The Fort Worth Zoo is recognized as one of the top zoos in the nation, with more than 1,200 creatures from around the world living in lush, natural-habitat settings. Tree-shaded, winding paths lead visitors to incredible exhibits like World of Primates, Asian Falls, Komodo Dragons, Meerkat Mounds, Raptor Canyons and Texas Wild!
