NOTICE TO BENEFICIARIES OF PROTECTION UNDER TITLE VI

This notice is provided in compliance with 49 CFR Section 21.9 (d).

Non-discrimination Notice
DART provides services and operates programs without regard to race, color, and national origin in compliance with Title VI.

Complaint Process
As a member of the general public if you desire to file a discrimination complaint under Title VI, the following procedure should be followed:

• The complaint should be filed with:

• Any person who believes he or she has been subjected to unlawful discrimination may directly file a complaint or use an authorized representative.

• The complaint shall be submitted to the Department Economic Opportunity and Government Relations (EOGR), and at a minimum should include the following information:

• Your name and address, and a telephone number where you may be reached during business hours;

• A general description of the person(s) or class of persons injured by the alleged discriminatory act(s);

• A description of the alleged discriminatory act(s) in sufficient detail to enable EOGR to understand what occurred, when it occurred, and the basis of the alleged discrimination complaint (race, color, or national origin);

• The letter must be signed and dated by the person filing the complaint or by someone authorized to do so on his or her behalf.

Proceso para presentar quejas
Como miembro del público general, si desea presentar una queja por discriminación conforme al Título VI, deberá cumplir con el siguiente procedimiento:

• Cualquier persona que considere que sufrió un acto de discriminación ilegal puede presentar una queja en forma directa o a través de un representante autorizado.

• La queja debe presentarse ante el Departamento de Oportunidades Económicas y Relaciones con el Gobierno (EOGR, por sus siglas en inglés), y debe incluir, como mínimo, la siguiente información:

• Su nombre, dirección y número de teléfono en el cual se lo puede localizar durante las horas laborables.

• Una descripción general de las personas o clase de personas afectadas por los presuntos actos de discriminación.

• Una descripción detallada de los supuestos actos de discriminación para permitir que EOGR comprenda lo ocurrido, cuándo sucedió y conozca los fundamentos de la queja (raza, color, nacionalidad).

• La carta debe contener la fecha y estar firmada por la persona que presenta la queja, o por la persona autorizada a presentarla en su nombre.
