W. Michael Miles
Vice President, Government Relations


Michael Miles
Michael Miles is the Vice President, Government Relations for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART). Miles is one of the original staff members having joined the interim agency in 1982 prior to the successful DART vote in 1983. Miles has more than thirty eight years of experience in municipal government with thirty two years in various disciplines directly related to transportation development. In addition, he has extensive experience in government / external relations and working with elected officials in the 13 DART cities on transit-related issues.

Currently, Miles and the Government Relations staff have responsibilities for all legislative issues at the state, federal, regional and local levels. He also serves as the agency's primary liaison with the Dallas City Council and the City Manager's staff and Regional Transportation Council.
