Steve Salin has more than three decades of progressively responsible experience in transportation planning with an emphasis on light rail, commuter rail and streetcar facilities and related environmental reviews. He is also experienced in project planning, budgeting, scheduling and contract monitoring.

As Vice President, Rail Planning for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) he directs all rail corridor-planning activities for the agency. Salin's duties include multimodal system planning, rail corridor planning, and travel demand forecasting. He also ensures compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
