OCS = Overhead Catenary System HARRY HINES/NORTHWEST HWY./I-35E/JUSTICE WAY AREA: Crews will continue construction from just west of Harry Hines/ Northwest Hwy/Spur 482 toward Justice Way. This work may require various lane restrictions and traffic delays. Motorists are advised to monitor Orange Line Construction alerts to help minimize travel impacts. Please plan your routes, allow extra time to reach your destination, and observe any changes in speed limits or detours. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: Please note that all dates are tentative as they do not account for weather delays or other schedule impacts. TRINITY RIVER AREA: Track work and OCS installation continues through the Trinity River area. Motorists can expect to see temporary lane drops and night work. Please use caution when traveling through the area. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: ROAD CLOSURES AND LANE RESTRICTIONS: SPUR 482/FEDEX/CENTRAL FREIGHT: Crews will continue OCS installation, signals work, and testing along the Spur 482 frontage road in front of FedEx and Central Freight. Flaggers may be present to help direct traffic. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: LOOP 12/SH 114 FRONTAGE ROAD AREA: Expect construction activity and increased truck traffic along the SH 114 frontage road around Loop 12 and the old Texas Stadium site. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: ROAD CLOSURES AND LANE RESTRICTIONS: TELEPORT BLVD./RIVERSIDE DRIVE AREA: Crossing, track and systems/signals work continues along Teleport from Riverside Dr thru to Las Colinas Blvd. Minor lane restrictions may be required for miscellaneous construction activities. Teleport Blvd will continue be closed permanently at SH 114 to thru traffic. Access to business drives along Teleport will remain open. Please use caution in this area with changing traffic configurations. Pedestrians need to remember that it is not safe for them to enter construction zones, so they will need to use alternate walking and jogging routes. Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through this area and obey the advised, posted speed limit of 25 mph. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: ROAD CLOSURES AND LANE RESTRICTIONS: Pedestrians need to remember that it is not safe for them to enter construction zones, so they will need to use alternate pet walking and jogging routes. Motorists are also asked to monitor construction updates and observe and changed speed limits or traffic configurations when traveling through this construction zone. Motorists are not permitted to enter or park inside construction zones. Additional lane restrictions and rolling closures may be required to provide a safe work area as crews continue to progress with the project. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: ROAD CLOSURES AND LANE RESTRICTIONS: Please note that all dates are tentative as they do not account for weather delays or other schedule impacts. CONVENTION CENTER AREA: Expect to see increased truck traffic and construction activity around the Convention Center area for station and track work. Bridge construction activities will continue in this area. Please continue to monitor construction alerts for changes to traffic configurations or detours. There will be heavy construction activity in this area as crews continue work on the bridge structure that will extend over SH 114. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: GREEN PARK/MEADOW CREEK/CARPENTER RANCH AREA: Construction activity continues in the Carpenter Ranch area around the Meadow Creek/Green Park Dr intersection. Please use caution when traveling through the area with the increased activity, and monitor construction alerts to minimize travel impacts. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: ROAD CLOSURES AND LANE RESTRICTIONS: NORTH LAKE COLLEGE/MACARTHUR AREA: Construction activity will continue through the North Lake College and MacArthur area with station work and landscaping. Please caution when traveling through this area and monitor changes to speed limits or traffic configurations. Pedestrians need to remember that it is not safe for them to enter construction zones, so they will need to use alternate walking and jogging routes. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES: ROAD CLOSURES AND LANE RESTRICTIONS: Please note that all dates are tentative as they do not account for weather delays or other schedule impacts. Detour information will be provided as construction activities draw closer. WALNUT HILL/HURD AREA: Heavy construction activity will continue in the Walnut Hill/Hurd area. Construction traffic will be extremely heavy in this area over the next few weeks as crossing work moves into the area. Upcoming closures: Coyle Street Lane Closure (Rowlett): • From 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 23, the westbound lane of Coyle Street in Downtown Rowlett will experience temporary lane closures. The public is asked to follow all posted traffic control signage and traffic control channeling devices. Walnut Street Lane Closure (Garland): • From 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 26 through Thursday, March 29, the eastbound right lane of Walnut Street at Lavon Street (GP&L Power Plant Crossing) will experience temporary lane closures. The public is asked to follow all posted traffic control signage and traffic control channeling devices. Centerville Road Lane Closure (Garland): • From 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 31 through 6 a.m. on Sunday, April 1, all lanes of Centerville Road at the Light Rail At-Grade Crossing will be closed to all thru traffic. The public is asked to follow all posted traffic control signage and traffic control channeling devices. • From 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 through Friday, April 6, the northbound left lane of Centerville Road at the At-Grade Light Rail Crossing will experience temporary lane closures. The public is asked to follow all posted traffic control signage and traffic control channeling devices. SH-66 Lane Closure (Garland): • From 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 9 through Monday, April 16, the eastbound right lane of SH-66 between Centerville Road and Dexham Road (1200 Lakeview / SH-66) will experience temporary lane closures. - Stop, look and listen for DART vehicles.
- Cross the street or track at designated crosswalks only.
- Never walk, ride or play in front of or behind a DART vehicle.
- Children should always exit the bus through the front door.
- Do not walk, ride or play in a construction area.
- Never walk, ride or play on or near railroad tracks.
- Always stand behind the textured warning strips on rail platforms.
- Be careful when driving or turning across train tracks.
- Never try to beat a train through a crossing.
- Remember: Safety begins with you. Talk to your family.
