Downtown Dallas construction information

Downtown Dallas: On Wednesday, February 4, there will be one lane closed on the southbound US 75 frontage road between Live Oak and Ross as striping work is performed. View a street location map • To support construction around the Bryan/Hawkins intersection: Bryan is closed between Leonard and Good Latimer. View a street location map. Good Latimer is reduced to one lane in each direction between Bryan and Elm. View a street location map. • Motorists will not be able to make left turns from Leonard St. across the DART Rail tracks. Market Center Community construction information

Market Center Community: • There will be periodic work on the median and inside lanes of southbound Harry Hines between Market Center and Vagas and northbound Harry Hines between Knight and Lucas until further notice. View a street location map. • Southbound Harry Hines is reduced to one lane between Lucas and Douglas between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day between Monday, February 2 through Friday, February 6. View a street location map. • The intersection of Vagas and Harry Hines is closed until further notice while street work is performed on Vagas. View a street location map. • Harry Hines Blvd. between Vagas St. and Oak Lawn Ave. is reduced to one lane in each direction until further notice. Love Field West Community construction information

Love Field West Community: Neighborhood Construction Advisory - West of Love Field Construction on DART's exciting Green Line expansion into Northwest Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton has begun in earnest and will continue until passenger service officially begins in December 2010. Listed below is a brief outline of how some of the major streets in the neighborhood west of Love Field will be affected. Denton Drive at Mockingbird Lane Motorists should expect periodic lane reduction on both streets as various construction stages proceed during the project. Wyman Street at Denton Drive Wyman is currently being accessed via a new bus lane from Burbank and is under construction at the access from Denton Drive. View a street location map. Anson Road at Denton Drive Anson Road at Denton Drive is scheduled to reopen by Wednesday, February 4. While closed, Anson traffic from the west will be able to use Concord Ave. to reach Empire Central Drive. To the north, the recently opened Gilford St. or Burbank St. are other alternate routes between Denton and Harry Hines Blvd. View a street location map. • Manor Way at Denton Drive is closed until further notice. View a street location map. • Traffic is reduced to one lane each way at W. Mockingbird Lane and Denton Drive. View a street location map. • Westbound Hawes Ave. will have a lane reduction for water and sewer line installation. Westbound traffic will be maintained via the eastbound lane. View a street location map. • Through February 4, the intersection of Burbank and Little Denton is partially closed. View a street location map. • Through approximately mid-March, Denton is closed from Shorecrest to Webb Chapel for underground utility work. Detour is available via Harry Hines. View a street location map. • Webb Chapel Extension and Denton Drive is reduced to one lane in each direction for the installation of underground utilities until further notice. Walnut Hill/Denton Area construction information

Walnut Hill/Denton Area: Construction for DART's exciting Green Line Expansion Program into Northwest Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton, is underway and will continue until the new passenger service begins in December 2010. Construction in this area will necessitate occasional traffic shifts and detours as some of the local streets and infrastructure are improved. • There will be traffic switches at the intersection of Webb Chapel and Denton until further notice. View a street location map. • Denton Drive is closed from Storey Lane to Webb Chapel until further notice. View a street location map. •  Denton Drive between Storey Lane and Lombardy is reduced to one lane southbound. View a street location map. • Storey Lane will have various daily lane closures while paving work is done. View a street location map. • Denton Drive between Lombardy and Walnut Hill will be closed except for local traffic. Motorists are encouraged to look for local road detour signage. View a street location map. •  Century Drive between Doric Street and Denton Drive will permanently close. Local business traffic wishing to access Denton Drive from the east will need to detour along Doric Street to Abernathy Avenue and Lombardy Lane. This work will be followed by subsequent traffic shifts at this location--each lasting for several weeks--to allow for the reconstruction of Century Drive with a direct connection to Abernathy Lane. Road construction on Century Drive is anticipated to continue until Fall 2009. • Walnut Hill near Denton Drive may have daily lane closures. View a street location map.

Farmers Branch Community construction information

Farmers Branch Community: Farmers Branch On-Call Boarding With Other DART Routes at Farmers Branch Park & Ride - Effective October 20, 2008 All Farmers Branch On-Call vehicles drop off and board passengers at the temporary transit center on Denton Drive. This is the location currently being used by Bus Routes 44, 185, 204, 247, 331, 400 and 486. Boarding will take place at the sign marked: DEPARTURES All Bus Routes All DART services will use this stop until the new Green Line rail station opens across the street in December 2010. Carrollton Community construction information

Carrollton Community: Construction for DART's exciting Green Line Expansion Program into Northwest Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton, is under way and will continue until the new passenger service begins in December 2010. Construction in this area will necessitate occasional traffic shifts and detours as some of the local streets and infrastructure are improved. • On Monday evening, January 26, beams will be staged on Denton Drive, south of Valwood, and moved north as needed. Setting of the beams will begin on Tuesday, Janaury 27. The outside northbound lane on Denton south of Valwood will be closed during this activity. View a street location map. • Paving work continues on Valwood Parkway through approximately the end of March. View a street location map. •  Beginning Wednesday, December 3, southbound and northbound Broadway will be closed from Crosby to Randolph for bridge construction for approximately four months. Deep Ellum Community construction information

Deep Ellum Community: On Thursday, February 5, the outside northbound and southbound lanes will open on Good Latimer between Elm and Live Oak. View a street location map. •  Malcolm X Blvd. between Junius and Indiana may be periodically reduced to one lane in each direction until further notice. Hatcher Community construction information

Hatcher Community: • Pine St. at the rail guideway will be closed until further notice. View a street location map. •  Eastbound traffic along Scyene Rd. between Second Ave. and Hatcher St. and westbound traffic along Scyene Rd. between Hatcher St. and Lawnview Ave. may have periodic lane reductions. There will be daily lane closures at the intersection of Scyene Road and Hatcher St. View a street location map. • Dixon Avenue near Scyene Road has one lane open in each direction. Orange Line Updates:

Orange Line construction information

Pre-construction activities have begun and crews will be doing utility investigations and geo-technical testing along the alignment. These activities may require brief lane closures and shoulder restrictions. During the week of February 9-13, crews will be present on Jamison Drive between Community and Harry Hines, on both u-turn lanes of Harry Hines Blvd. at Storey, on Justice Way and on the Spur 482 westbound frontage road.
