Downtown Dallas construction information

Downtown Dallas: • To support construction around the Bryan/Hawkins intersection: Bryan is closed between Leonard and Good Latimer. View a street location map. Market Center Community construction information

Market Center Community: • Three northbound lanes on Harry Hines between Wycliff and Market Center are open. View a street location map. • Three southbound lanes on Harry Hines between Market Center and Wycliff are open. At the Wycliff intersection, median work is scheduled and lanes will continue be reduced to two southbound lanes through the intersection. Love Field West Community construction information

Love Field West Community: Neighborhood Construction Advisory - West of Love Field Construction on DART's exciting Green Line expansion into Northwest Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton has begun in earnest and will continue until passenger service officially begins in December 2010. Listed below is a brief outline of how some of the major streets in the neighborhood west of Love Field will be affected. Denton Drive at Mockingbird Lane Motorists should expect periodic lane reduction on both streets as various construction stages proceed during the project. Wyman Street at Denton Drive Wyman is closed until further notice. Access is available via a bus lane from Burbank. View a street location map. Temporary Closures: Anson Road, Gilford St., Burbank St., Empire Central Drive Construction for DART's new Green Line will require the temporary closure of four streets at the railroad crossing near Denton Drive, beginning on or around Monday, May. 25. The closures will involve two streets at a time with each lasting approximately one week. Anson and Gilford were the first streets closed. To reach Anson, traffic from Denton will be detoured to south to Empire Central, then north on Little Denton to Anson. To get to Gilford, vehicles will be detoured north to Burbank and south on Little Denton to Gilford. • Anson has been re-opened. Upon the completion and re-opening of Anson and Gilford, work will begin on Burbank and Empire Central, and the detours will be reversed. Gilford and Little Denton will be used to reach Burbank, Anson and Little Denton to reach Empire Central. The Green Line is scheduled to begin passenger service between Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton in December 2010. Future notifications will be provided as the construction work progresses throughout the project. For more information, call 214-749-2522. For emergency only, call DART Police at 214-928-6262. • Traffic is reduced to one lane each way at W. Mockingbird Lane and Denton Drive. View a street location map. • There is a traffic switch on Denton Dr. from north of Hawes Ave. to Lovedale for paving work. The northbound lanes are closed and traffic is detoured onto the southbound lanes with one lane open in each direction. Once the northbound lanes are completed, traffic will be switched to the new lanes while southbound lanes are paved. View a street location map. • Denton is closed from Shorecrest to Webb Chapel for underground utility and bridge work until further notice. Detour is available via Harry Hines. View a street location map. • From Monday, July 6 for approximately one week, Community Drive at the rail guideway will be closed. View a street location map.

Walnut Hill/Denton Area construction information

Walnut Hill/Denton Area: Construction for DART's exciting Green Line Expansion Program into Northwest Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton, is underway and will continue until the new passenger service begins in December 2010. Construction in this area will necessitate occasional traffic shifts and detours as some of the local streets and infrastructure are improved. • Webb Chapel Extension and Denton Drive is reduced to one lane in each direction for the installation of underground utilities until further notice. View a street location map. • Denton Drive is closed from Storey Lane to Webb Chapel until further notice. View a street location map. • Denton Drive between Willowbrook and Lombardy is reduced to one lane southbound. View a street location map. • Denton Drive between Lombardy and Walnut Hill will be closed except for local traffic. Motorists are encouraged to look for local road detour signage. View a street location map. •  Century Drive between Doric Street and Denton Drive will permanently close. Local business traffic wishing to access Denton Drive from the east will need to detour along Doric Street to Abernathy Avenue and Lombardy Lane. This work will be followed by subsequent traffic shifts at this location--each lasting for several weeks--to allow for the reconstruction of Century Drive with a direct connection to Abernathy Lane. Road construction on Century Drive is anticipated to continue until Fall 2009. • Walnut Hill near Denton Drive may have daily lane closures. Farmers Branch Community construction information

Farmers Branch Community: Farmers Branch On-Call Boarding With Other DART Routes at Farmers Branch Park & Ride - Effective October 20, 2008 All Farmers Branch On-Call vehicles drop off and board passengers at the temporary transit center on Denton Drive. This is the location currently being used by Bus Routes 44, 185, 204, 247, 331, 400 and 486. Boarding will take place at the sign marked: DEPARTURES All Bus Routes All DART services will use this stop until the new Green Line rail station opens across the street in December 2010. Carrollton Community construction information

Carrollton Community: Construction for DART's exciting Green Line Expansion Program into Northwest Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton, is under way and will continue until the new passenger service begins in December 2010. Construction in this area will necessitate occasional traffic shifts and detours as some of the local streets and infrastructure are improved. • On Valwood Parkway at the rail guideway, traffic has been switched to the outside lanes while median paving work is done. Deep Ellum Community construction information

Deep Ellum Community: •  Malcolm X Blvd. between Junius and Indiana may be periodically reduced to one lane in each direction until further notice. Fair Park Community construction information

Fair Park Community: • Beginning Monday, July 6 at 7 p.m., lanes on Parry and R. B. Cullum (SH 352) will be closed during an operation to perform street and track adjustments, located at southbound SH 352 adjacent to Fair Park. Work will begin in the left lane of southbound SH 352 at the track crossing. The contractor will be moving from left to the right along the tracks. Work will continue until 5 a.m. when lanes will be re-opened to the traveling public. This work will continue during these same hours nightly through July 15 except for Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11. Working hours between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. will continue on Sunday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 15. Southbound Parry will be closed at First due to work on the southbound left lane of SH 352. Traffic will be detoured to the west on First to Ash. Detoured traffic will continue on Ash to Second. From there, detoured traffic will head southeast on Second and transition via two lanes (center and right) into southbound SH 352. The contractor will have the left inside lane closed on southbound SH 352 and two lanes of traffic will remain open on southbound SH 352 at all times. Hatcher Community construction information

Hatcher Community: •  Eastbound traffic along Scyene Rd. between 2nd Ave. and Hatcher St. and westbound traffic along Scyene Rd. between Hatcher St. and Lawnview Ave. may have periodic lane reductions. View a street location map. • Traffic along Hatcher St. at Scyene Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction. There will be daily lane closures at the intersection of Scyene Road and Hatcher St. View a street location map. • Traffic has been switched to the newly paved lanes on Hatcher at Scyene. One lane in each direction is open. View a street location map. • Dixon Avenue near Scyene Road has one lane open in each direction. Lake June Community construction information

Lake June Community: •  There may be temporary lane reductions on Buckner Blvd. between Elam Rd. and US 175. View a street location map. • There is one lane open in each direction on Elam Road between Hillburn Drive and Buckner until further notice. View a street location map. • From 6 p.m. on Friday, July 10 through 5 a.m. on Monday, July 13, Elam at the rail guideway will be closed. Westbound Elam will be closed at Buckner. Detour will be the C.F. Hawn Fwy. service road. Eastbound Elam will be closed at Hillburn. Detour will be Hillburn to Rosemont, then Buckner back to Elam. View a street location map. From 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14 through 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, Hillburn will be closed at the rail guideway. Northbound Hillburn detour will be Elam to Dasch. Orange Line Updates:

Orange Line construction information

Some temporary lane restrictions may be necessary for geotechnical testing and utility location verification throughout the corridor as this process is completed. Trinity River area: access road construction continues. Old Texas Stadium/Loop 12 area: There will be grading operations and curb and gutter removals. Please remember the area around the stadium is now a construction area and not available to the public. Central Freight and FedEx areas: Expect grading and drilling operations along Spur 482 around Central Freight and FedEx areas to continue. View a street location map. Week of July 13 Road closures and lane restrictions: At 7 a.m. on Monday, July 13, Stemmons Trail at Spur 482/Storey Lane will close for several weeks. Access to Stemmons Trail from Northwest Highway will remain open. From 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each evening Monday, July 13 through Wednesday, July 15, the left lane of northbound I-35E from Loop 12/Northwest Highway to Harry Hines Blvd. will be closed. The two right lanes will remain open. Please use caution while traveling in this area as lanes have been shifted. View a street location map. Construction Activities: Utility relocation will begin along Spur 482/Storey Lane from Justice Way to the Trinity River. Survey around SH 161 frontage road near Valley View Lane. Week of July 20 Road closures and lane restrictions: At 2 a.m. on Monday, July 20, the ramp from northbound Harry Hines to eastbound Northwest Highway will temporarily close for several weeks. Motorists should use Harry Hines Blvd. and Community Drive for the detour. Construction Activities: There will be clearing and grading activities including tree removal in the Teleport and North Lake College/Brangus Road areas. Grading/Site preparation along SH 161 for bridge construction. Utility relocations on Teleport. Please note: • In the Harry Hines/Jameson/Northwest Hwy. area, construction activities will include drill shaft operations, column operations, electrical work, walls and grading for bridge construction preparation. There will trucks and equipment moving in and out of the construction site, so please use caution in this area with the increased activity. Jameson at the Northwest Hwy. frontage road will be closed until further notice. View a street location map. • The right lane of southbound Harry Hines under Northwest Highway will be closed until further notice. Two southbound lanes will be open for through traffic.
