Downtown Dallas construction information

Downtown Dallas: On Saturday, December 20, there will be a temporary lane closure on the southbound US 75 frontage road between Ross and Live Oak. View a street location map. • To support construction around the Bryan/Hawkins intersection: Bryan is closed between Leonard and Good Latimer. View a street location map. Good Latimer is reduced to one lane in each direction between Bryan and Elm. View a street location map. • Motorists will not be able to make left turns from Leonard St. across the DART Rail tracks. Market Center Community construction information

Market Center Community: • Southbound Harry Hines between Market Center and Vagas is scheduled to have two lanes open and northbound Harry Hines between Knight and Lucas is scheduled to have two lanes open from approximately December 19 through January 20. View a street location map. • The intersection of Vagas and Harry Hines is closed until further notice while street work is performed on Vagas. View a street location map. • Harry Hines Blvd. between Vagas St. and Oak Lawn Ave. is reduced to one lane in each direction until further notice. View a street location map. •  Westbound Wycliff Ave. from Maple Ave. to Harry Hines Blvd. is reduced to one lane until Monday, December 15. Love Field West Community construction information

Love Field West Community: Neighborhood Construction Advisory - West of Love Field Construction on DART's exciting Green Line expansion into Northwest Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton has begun in earnest and will continue until passenger service officially begins in December 2010. Listed below is a brief outline of how some of the major streets in the neighborhood west of Love Field will be affected. Denton Drive @ Mockingbird Lane Motorists should expect periodic lane reduction on both streets as various construction stages proceed during the project. Gilford Avenue Gilford Avenue will be temporarily closed between Denton Drive and just west of Little Denton for reconstruction. This will include temporarily closing off access to this street from Little Denton and Denton Drive. During the closure, traffic will be detoured along other streets to reach Denton Drive. View a street location map. Wyman Street @ Denton Drive Wyman is currently being accessed via a new bus lane from Burbank and is under construction at the access from Denton Drive. View a street location map. • Manor Way at Denton Drive is closed until further notice. View a street location map. • Traffic is reduced to one lane each way at W. Mockingbird Lane and Denton Drive. View a street location map. • Westbound Hawes Ave. will have a lane reduction for water and sewer line installation. Westbound traffic will be maintained via the eastbound lane. View a street location map. • Community Drive is closed until further notice with access available via Northwest Highway and Harry Hines Blvd. View a street location map. • Webb Chapel Extension and Denton Drive is reduced to one lane in each direction for the installation of underground utilities until further notice. Walnut Hill/Denton Area construction information

Walnut Hill/Denton Area: Construction for DART's exciting Green Line Expansion Program into Northwest Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton, is underway and will continue until the new passenger service begins in December 2010. Construction in this area will necessitate occasional traffic shifts and detours as some of the local streets and infrastructure are improved. • There will be traffic switches at the intersection of Webb Chapel and Denton until further notice. View a street location map. • Denton Drive is closed from Storey Lane to Webb Chapel until further notice. View a street location map. • Through the end of December, work to excavate and remove an old utility line takes place on Denton between Willowbrook and Storey. View a street location map. •  Denton Drive between Storey Lane and Lombardy is reduced to one lane southbound. View a street location map. • Through approximately December 22, Lombardy at Denton is reduced to one lane each way under the bridge. View a street location map. • Denton Drive between Lombardy and Walnut Hill will be closed except for local traffic. Motorists are encouraged to look for local road detour signage. View a street location map. •  Century Drive between Doric Street and Denton Drive will permanently close. Local business traffic wishing to access Denton Drive from the east will need to detour along Doric Street to Abernathy Avenue and Lombardy Lane. This work will be followed by subsequent traffic shifts at this location--each lasting for several weeks--to allow for the reconstruction of Century Drive with a direct connection to Abernathy Lane. Road construction on Century Drive is anticipated to continue until Fall 2009. • Walnut Hill near Denton Drive may have daily lane closures. View a street location map. • Through the end of December, crews will be working on paving intersections on the east side of Denton Drive on the cross streets between Royal and Forest. From approximately Monday, December 8 through December 22, paving work is planned for the Denton and Rodney intersection. Motorists are advised to look for local road detour signs for alternative routes. View a street location map.

Farmers Branch Community construction information

Farmers Branch Community: Farmers Branch On-Call Boarding With Other DART Routes at Farmers Branch Park & Ride - Effective October 20, 2008 All Farmers Branch On-Call vehicles drop off and board passengers at the temporary transit center on Denton Drive. This is the location currently being used by Bus Routes 44, 185, 204, 247, 331, 400 and 486. Boarding will take place at the sign marked: DEPARTURES All Bus Routes All DART services will use this stop until the new Green Line rail station opens across the street in December 2010. View a street location map. • Villa Creek near Denton Drive may have daily lane closures. View a street location map. • Utility installations on Denton between Villa Creek and Farmers Branch Lane may require daily lane closures. View a street location map. • Rail train movements are scheduled for the weekend of December 20 and 21, 2008. Crews are scheduled to move rail from the Villa Creek area. Current plans include closure of Denton Drive north of Villa Creek to Farmers Branch Lane to accommodate rail work and allow utility installation on Denton Drive. The rail train moves at approximately 5 MPH. Various cross streets will be flagged to a stop to allow the rail train to pass. View a street location map. • Valley View Lane is reduced to one lane between Denton Dr. and Rossford St. View a street location map. • Squire Place at Denton Drive is closed until further notice. Carrollton Community construction information

Carrollton Community: Construction for DART's exciting Green Line Expansion Program into Northwest Dallas, Farmers Branch and Carrollton, is under way and will continue until the new passenger service begins in December 2010. Construction in this area will necessitate occasional traffic shifts and detours as some of the local streets and infrastructure are improved. • Through approximately the end of January, median and paving work is being done on Valwood Parkway. View a street location map. •  Beginning Wednesday, December 3, southbound and northbound Broadway will be closed from Crosby to Randolph for bridge construction for approximately four months. Access for local traffic will be maintained. View a street location map. • From December 15 through approximately January 6, Main Street at Belt Line will be closed for utility installation. Deep Ellum Community construction information

Deep Ellum Community: • Gaston Ave. at Good Latimer is reduced to one lane in each direction. Fair Park Community construction information

Fair Park Community: • Two left lanes are closed eastbound Haskell to Parry. Hatcher Community construction information

Hatcher Community: • There is a traffic switch on Scyene Road between Bertrand and Pine until further notice. Two-way traffic will be available via eastbound lanes while street work is done on westbound lanes. There will be daily lane closures at the intersection of Scyene Road and Hatcher St. View a street location map. • Dixon Avenue near Scyene Road has one lane open in each direction. View a street location map. •  Left turn lane on Lawnview Avenue at Scyene Road is detoured. Motorists are encouraged to look for detour signage.
