Note: West End Station will reopen early with the beginning of scheduled DART Rail service on Friday, Oct. 10.
Construction to renovate West End Station and create a temporary boarding location between Lamar and Griffin streets will begin in late July. Passengers may continue to use West End Station until Friday evening, September 12, at 8 p.m., when the station suspends passenger service for approximately one month.During that time, West End passengers will use the temporary location between Lamar and Griffin. All area businesses will remain open and accessible.
We appreciate your patience and urge you to be alert and careful around construction areas.

DART safely around construction
Any time you undertake a construction project, the possibility for danger is elevated. DART is urging everyone to be extra careful around its facilities, vehicles and especially the construction areas. Here are safety tips you should know.
REMEMBER:
- Stop, look and listen for DART vehicles.
- Cross the street or track at designated crosswalks only.
- Never walk, ride or play in front of or behind a DART vehicle.
- Children should always exit the bus through the front door.
- Do not walk, ride or play in a construction area.
- Never walk, ride or play on or near railroad tracks.
- Always stand behind the textured warning strips on rail platforms.
- Be careful when driving or turning across train tracks.
- Never try to beat a train through a crossing.
- Remember: Safety begins with you. Talk to your family.
