DART to the Fourth

Note: DART buses and light rail will operate on a Sunday schedule on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. There will be no TRE service on July 4.


Addison Kaboom Town features spectacular fireworks choreographed to music, food, live music, historic warbird flyovers by the Cavanaugh Flight Museum, and more. Itís been rated one of the top 10 fireworks shows in the country by USA Today, and Kaboom Town! delivers the goods. It runs from 4 p.m. to midnight at Addison Circle Park, 4970 Addison Circle Drive. Star-Spangled Spectacular at Firewheel Town Center is a family fun day of activities on the Fourth of July. Families will enjoy face painters, balloon artists, bounce houses, strolling entertainment and more during Star Spangled Spectacular. The event will culminate with a patriotic fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. Information:

Farmers Branch Independence Day Celebration provides one of the very few low-level firework shows in Texas. This spectacular show is accompanied by a high-energy dance band, a KidZone area, concessionaires selling festival favorites and more. The patriotism and fun takes place at the Farmers Branch Historical Park. Park gates open at 6:30 p.m. Information:

Plano Community Band's Patriotic Pops is the highlight of the group's free Summer Concerts in the Park. Bring the kids for an evening of rousing patriotic music in Haggard Park. The free show begins at 7 p.m. in Haggard Park, 901 E. 15th St. in downtown Plano. Information:

Mrs. Baird's Presents City of Dallas and KLUV's Red White & Boom On The Bridge from 6 to 10 p.m. The beautiful Downtown Dallas skyline will light up with a fantastic fireworks show to celebrate America's Independence Day. Be there on the Ronald Kirk and Margaret Hunt Hill Bridges in Downtown Dallas to celebrate Americaís independence and watch as Dallasí beautiful skyline lights up with a spectacular firework show. Free and open to the public, activies include the fireworks show, music, local performers, food, vendors, kids activities and more. Information:

Rowlett Freedom 5K on Main is an opportunity to celebrate our country's birthday by walking or running. The event includes a 1- Mile Fun Run, and a portion of proceeds benefiting American Cancer Society Relay for Life Strollers are welcome too! Starts at 7 a.m. Information:

Irving Independence Day Parade starts at 9 a.m. in the Heritage District and features entries by community organizations, businesses and families, including floats, costumes and custom vehicles. Immediately following the parade, head to Heritage Park to enjoy complimentary watermelon with your neighbors! Relax under a tree while listening to live music. Free children's activities include air brush tattoos and balloons. The reception runs until noon. Information:

Rowlett Fireworks on Main. Come out and celebrate the 4th of July right with friends, family, and community. Experience a fun filled night for the whole family that will feature live music by Grand Theft Audio at 6:00 p.m. and The Bellamy Brothers performing 90 minutes of their greatest hits from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.! Along with fireworks, there will be various bounce houses, laser tag and plenty of food vendors to satisfy your taste buds! The fireworks display follows The Bellamy Brothers performance.   • Downtown Rowlett Station
  • Parking will be available at Downtown Rowlett Station, Rowlett High School and Herfurth Park. Shuttle transportation will be available at Downtown Rowlett Station as well as Coyle Middle School and Herfurth Park. These shuttles will run from 5:00 p.m. to midnight and will drop attendees off at Rowlett High School.

Fair Park Fourth is a celebration where you and your family can enjoy all that Fair Park has to offer, including museums, historic art and architecture, family activities, concerts, and rides (such as the Texas Star and the Top o' Texas Tower). Not to mention an amazing firework display! Information:

Irving Independence Day Fireworks Show features a festival-like atmosphere, with plenty of food concession stands and vendors. Festivities begin at 6 p.m., with fireworks after dark. It all happens around scenic Lake Carolyn, next to the Las Colinas Urban Center Station. Information:

A Star-Spangled Spectacular! with the Dallas Wind Symphony is guaranteed to stir patriotic feelings. Strike up the band and hoist the stars and stripes - it's a star-spangled salute to our country featuring patriotic music, confetti, and a cameo from Uncle Sam. The show begins at 1 p.m. at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Information:

Enjoy Patriotic Pops with the Plano Symphony Orchestra. Patriotic selections will include all the favorites and then some, as the orchestra pays tribute to the people dedicated to preserving our freedom. Joining the Plano Symphony will be the Patriotic Pops Chorus. The event happens at the Eisemann Center. Information:
