Dallas Area Rapid Transit

Flex Service, which made its debut in March 2008, combines the reliability of a fixed-route bus with the ability to divert into the neighborhood for personalized pickup and delivery. Pilot programs in South Irving and the Telecom Corridor have proven so popular that DART is increasing service in the existing areas and is introducing the popular travel concept to other portions of the service area. EXISTING FLEX SERVICE

Counter-clockwise service will be added to the current route to provide bi-directional service.

• Route 840-South Irving Flex schedules and map effective February 16, 2009




The route will be expanded to include Plano Parkway between Bush Turnpike Station and International Parkway, replacing a portion of Route 316 and also serving West Plano Transit Center; a portion of the current service area will be covered by New Flex Route 843-South Plano Flex.

• Route 841-Telecom Corridor Flex schedules and map effective February 16, 2009

NEW FLEX SERVICE

This service will replace the current Route 342; the basic routing, including service to the Lake June Transit Center, will remain unchanged.

• Route 842-Lake June Flex schedules and map effective February 16, 2009




This service will replace the busiest portions of Route 841-Telecom Corridor Flex during rush hours; and will be extended via Plano Parkway between Klein Road and Los Rios Blvd., Los Rios between Plano Parkway and 14th Street, 14th between Los Rios and Shiloh Road and Shiloh between 14th and Plano Parkway. It will serve Bush Turnpike Station.

• Route 843-South Plano Flex schedules and map effective February 16, 2009




This service will replace Routes 570 and 760 as well as DART On-Call East Plano; service will be added on Shiloh Road between 18th Street and Park Blvd., on Park between Shiloh and Rigsbee Drive, and on Rigsbee between Park and 18th. It will serve Downtown Plano Station.

• Route 870-East Plano Flex schedules and map effective February 16, 2009




This service will replace the current Route 557; the basic routing, including service to Downtown Garland Station and Rowlett Park & Ride, will remain unchanged.
