GREEN LINE TO BEGIN OPERATION BETWEEN VICTORY AND MLK, JR. STATIONS

Phase One of DART's eagerly anticipated Green Line is the highlight of a number of systemwide service modifications this fall. Trains will initially operate from Victory Station through the downtown transitway mall, then to Deep Ellum, the Baylor University Medical district, the main entrance of Fair Park - just in time for the 2009 State Fair of Texas - and Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

The entire Green Line, from Buckner Station in Pleasant Grove to North Carrollton/Frankford Station, is scheduled to open in December 2010. Also described in this brochure are bus route and schedule changes designed to connect to the new Green Line service, more accurately match service levels to ridership demands, and reduce service duplication. CONNECTING SERVICE TO GREEN LINE STATIONS

• VICTORY STATION

All trips of the Trinity Railway Express will serve Victory Station at American Airlines Center, providing a direct link to the Green Line and downtown stations. Bus Route 26, 44 and 49 operate within close proximity, but no direct bus connections are planned at Victory.
NOTE: See Red and Blue Line Modifications section for additional rail service to Victory Station.

• WEST END, AKARD, ST. PAUL AND PEARL STATIONS

These stations and all connecting service will be shared with Red and Blue line trains.

• DEEP ELLUM STATION

Bus routes 19 and 44 will serve this station from Gaston Ave.

• BAYLOR UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER STATION

Bus routes 19, 44 and 76 will undergo minor route revisions to serve this station; see Other Bus Route Modifications section for maps and additional changes involving these routes.

• FAIR PARK STATION

Bus routes currently serving the Parry Ave. entrance to Fair Park - 37, 60, 110, 111, 164 (late evening Saturdays and Sundays only) and 409 - will continue to serve this station during the first phase of operation.

• MLK, JR. STATION

Bus routes 12, 26, 50, and 409 - plus a single weekday morning trip of 202 - will continue to serve the adjacent J.B. Jackson, Jr. Transit Center during the first phase of operation.
