DART – Let's Go.

DART Service Change

Effective Monday, March 13, 2017

Service Change Ahead

A pair of major employment centers on the outer edge of the DART service area are the focal points for bus service improvements scheduled for implementation on March 13, 2017. The booming Legacy area of northwest Plano will receive additional service to existing routes, plus a new express route linking the numerous new corporate campuses to Parker Road Rail Station. In the Cypress Waters area of far northwest Dallas, access to Belt Line Rail Station will be accomplished by the adjusting of two existing routes. In downtown Dallas, D-Link expands its scope to include one of the city's more popular venues and a host of route and schedule enhancements are planned to increase service efficiency system-wide. Use this brochure as a guide to new service, and, as always, for more details, please call 214.979.1111.

New Routes Answer Legacy Growth Surge

ROUTE 208 (REVISED)

This existing route will be extended north from the Northwest Plano Park & Ride into Legacy West, directly serving JC Penney, JP Morgan Chase, FedEx Office, Toyota, Liberty Mutual and Frito Lay. This service operates on alternate trips, approximately every 30 minutes during a.m. and p.m. rush hours. Buses serving this extension will display a "LEGACY WEST VIA NW PLANO PARK & RIDE" destination sign leaving downtown Dallas. For passengers on buses terminating at Northwest Plano Park & Ride, service to destinations in Legacy West is also available on Routes 211, 346 or 452.

Cypress Waters Service Gets a New Look

ROUTE 500 (REVISED)

The route will no longer serve the Freeport area on weekday trips. It will instead use Premier/Gateway routing (U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service and currently a part of Route 510). This is designed to cut travel time between Belt Line Station and Cypress Waters corporate headquarters, such as 7-Eleven and Core Logic, by one-third. Weekend service will remain unchanged.

ROUTE 510 (REVISED)

The route will no longer serve USINS Premier/Gateway segment (see Route 500 above), and instead will pick up Freeport service currently provided by Route 500 on weekdays; weekend service via Freeport will continue to be available on Route 500. Passengers will be able to connect to DART Rail at either Belt Line or Irving Convention Center stations.

D-Link Extends Coverage into Deep Ellum

Service will be extended on the eastern end to Good-Latimer between Canton and Gaston, enabling Route 722 D-Link to serve the popular Deep Ellum entertainment district. Buses will travel the current route along Cesar Chavez to right on Canton, left on Good-Latimer, and left on Gaston back to Pearl, then continue on regular route to Cedar Springs, returning over the same route. Present service between Cezar Chavez & Canton and Gaston & Pearl will be discontinued. Two bus stops will be located within the Deep Ellum area, both on Good-Latimer, northbound near-side at Elm Street, and southbound, near-side at Main Street. To accommodate these route changes, service levels will be adjusted to every 16 minutes between 4 and 6:30 p.m. on weekdays, but will remain 15 minutes at all other times.
