When it comes to celebrating Independence Day, North Texas does it up right. Avoid traffic and parking and let your red, white and blue fly at these DARTable Fourth of July events.

Farmers Branch Independence Day CelebrationSaturday, July 1

Farmers Branch Independence Day Celebration features a spectacular low-level fireworks show accompanied by a high-energy party band, a free KidsZone, and tons of food and beverages. The event happens from 6:30-10 p.m. at Farmers Branch Historical Park, near Farmers Branch Station on the Green Line.

Klyde Warren Park Independence Day Celebration has vendors, contests, live music, and lots of family fun. Expect plenty of food trucks, family-fun games, live music from Angel White and Prophets and Outlaws, and the grand finale – a spectacular fireworks show at 9:40 p.m., synced to a curated playlist by Dallas native and fan-favorite, DJ Lucy Wrubel. Klyde Warren Park is walkable from St. Paul Station on all four DART Rail lines; you can also get there on the M-Line Trolley.

Addison Kaboom TownMonday, July 3

Addison Kaboom Town is a pretty big deal – it’s been around nearly 40 years, and draws hundreds of thousands of guests. There’s a spectacular air show, not to mention an award-winning fireworks show. It’s all at Addison Circle Park, a short walk from Addison Transit Center. The event takes place 5-11 p.m.

Plano Community Band Patriotic Pops invites you to bring your patriotic spirit to enjoy the sounds of America. Plano Community Band will be joined by The Choir from Custer Road UMC at Haggard Park, right next to the Red Line’s Downtown Plano Station. The event starts at 7 p.m.

Irving Annual Fourth of July ParadeTuesday, July 4

All American 4th is Plano’s free celebration of the USA, as well as Plano’s own 150th birthday.  Food and drinks are available for purchase. There is a vendor market and a free kids’ zone. The festival is open 6-10 pm, with a parade at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m. The event takes place in the parking lot on the north side of Collin College Plano/Spring Creek Campus. To get there, take GoLink East Plano. Keep in mind that GoLink service ends at midnight.

Irving Sparks & Stripes presents dazzling pyrotechnics at the Levy Event Plaza, on the shores of Lake Carolyn. The festivities include music and other fun stuff, in addition to fireworks. Blankets, lawn chairs and coolers are welcome. The celebration happens 6-10 p.m., and is a short walk from the Orange Line’s Las Colinas Urban Center Station.

Rowlett Fireworks on Main is a fun-filled night for the whole family with live music from three bands, an extensive kids’ area, a wide variety of food vendors and – of course – fireworks. The event takes place 5-10 p.m. at Pecan Grove Park, about three-quarters of a mile from Downtown Rowlett Station on the Blue Line.

A Star Spangled Spectacular - Dallas WindsA Star Spangled Spectacular is the Dallas Winds’ annual patriotic tribute to the good ol’ USA. Expect all your patriotic favorites, a salute to our troops – and air conditioning, too, at the Meyerson Symphony Center. That’s a short walk from Pearl/Arts District Station on all four DART Rail lines. The show begins at 1 p.m.

Note: Bus, light rail and Dallas Streetcar services will follow a Sunday schedule on Tuesday, July 4. Trinity Railway Express trains will not operate.
