DART Orange Line Construction Update
Public Meetings

As many know already, the construction of the DART Orange Line to Irving/DFW is under way and on schedule, ultimately bringing light rail through north Irving and into DFW Airport area. A design-build contract was awarded to KSWRP (Kiewit, Stacy and Witbeck, Reyes, Parsons, a Joint Venture) on December 9, 2008.

DART would like to invite the general public to a construction update meeting to learn more about the design-build process, project status, and timeline. DART and KSWRP staff will be on hand to update attendees about the final alignment, station locations and the design-build project delivery method. Attendees will have an opportunity to see detailed alignment maps and station renderings with an open house and presentation. DART and KSWRP staff will also be available to address questions and concerns related to construction.

The Orange Line to Irving/DFW Segment 1 will be open for revenue service in December 2011 and Segment 2 will come on line in December 2012. Make plans to join us at one of the following two construction update public meetings:
