The DART Board approved the 2030 Transit System Plan, which included plans to relocate the deferred light rail station on the Northeast line in the Lake Highlands community. DART is proposing to relocate the Lake Highlands Station approximately 500 feet north of Walnut Hill to serve the community in the Lake Highlands area. In order to fulfill Federal, State, and Local requirements regarding Service Plan Amendments the DART Board has called for a Public Hearing to receive comments on the new station location for the Lake Highlands Station.
The 2030 Transit System Plan also included extending the Blue Line toward the southern boundary of the DART system to serve the planned University of North Texas (UNT) campus. In order to fulfill Federal, State, and Local requirements regarding Service Plan Amendments, the DART Board has called for a Public Hearing to receive comments on the UNT station location at Houston School Road and Interstate 20.
You are invited to attend and make your comments a part of the official record of the Service Plan Amendments.
