Dallas meeting focusing on next generation of livable communities
Transit advocates and urban planners are converging on North Texas to see how new communities are being built around transit oriented developments along DART's 90 mile light rail line and transit facilities in Ft. Worth and Denton.
Rail~Volution is the nation's preeminent transit and transit oriented development conference. The four-day event runs Oct. 25-28 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas (300 Reunion Blvd., Dallas, TX 75207). More than 1,400 developers, business leaders, planners, local elected officials, transit operators, government officials and citizen activists will be in attendance.
Last held in Dallas in 1999, Rail~Volution 2015 will host hundreds who share a common commitment to developing sustainable communities through transit by discussing projects and real-world issues with networking events, panel discussions and mobile workshops to view firsthand the nation's longest light rail system in North America and the region's successful innovative urban design culture.
See railvolution.org for more information or additional details on the conference including workshop programming and registration.
