Miller Lite Free Rides® available December 31 on Dallas Area Rapid Transit and Trinity Railway Express

Ring in the New Year safely with a free ride on DART, courtesy of Miller Lite

For the first time, the Original Light Beer is partnering with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and Andrews Distributing to help ring in the New Year safely. Miller Lite Free Rides® will be available on all DART buses and trains and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 31.

"We're excited to bring our flagship Free Rides program to the Dallas community," said Gene Giron, Responsibility Initiatives Manager for MillerCoors. "Our new partnership with DART is part of MillerCoors overall commitment to help prevent drunk driving by bringing alcohol responsibility programs to more markets. Working together, Miller Lite, DART and Andrews Distributing will ensure people have a great time this New Years Eve and get home safely."

DART bus and rail service and TRE trains will operate on their regular weekday schedules. DART Rail will operate until 2:30 a.m. In addition, a special westbound TRE train will depart Victory Station 20 minutes after the conclusion of the Dallas Stars-Nashville Predators game at American Airlines Center. Specific route and schedule information is available at DART.org.

Since its inception 28 years ago, the Miller Lite Free Rides program has provided safe rides to more than 5 million people in 21 cities across the country. This New Years Eve, Free Rides will also be offered in Chicago; Denver; Duluth and the Twin Cities Minnesota; Milwaukee, Madison and Green Bay, Wisconsin; Nashville, Tennessee; and Phoenix.
