DART track construction continues in Plano

Motorists traveling on streets crossing DART's right-of-way at Parker Road, Park Boulevard, 18th, 15th, and 14th streets may experience minor traffic interruptions as construction crews move and construct rail on the light rail line scheduled to open in June 2003.

Information signs will be set up to guide travelers through the area bounded by Avenue K on the east and Avenue H on the west. Hours of construction are between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The goal is to keep motorist delays to a minimum, with no delay lasting longer than 15 minutes.

This latest round of construction begins Monday, August 27 and will continue through Friday, September 21, 2001. Contact DART Community Affairs at 214-749-2538 for more information about the status of construction in the area.
