Plano Representative Robert Pope Named Chairman of DART Board of Directors Robert Pope has been elected Chairman of the DART Board of Directors. Pope, who has served on the board since 1996, succeeds Dallas representative Jesse Oliver.
Board members also elected Huelon Harrison vice chairman, Mark Enoch secretary and Terri Adkisson assistant secretary. Officers serve one-year terms.
Pope was appointed to the DART Board as a Plano representative in 1996, and was elected vice chairman of the board in 1999. He is president of Robert W. Pope & Associates. A 1969 graduate of Texas Tech University with a BS in civil engineering, he and his wife Marilyn have three children.
Dallas representative Harrison was named to the DART Board in 1998, and is a vice president and senior lender with Bank One, specializing in urban banking and small business lending. Earlier this year he was elected secretary of the Executive Committee of the American Public Transportation Association's Transit Board Member's Committee.
Enoch was appointed to the DART Board to represent Rowlett, Garland and Farmers Branch in 1997. He was elected Assistant Secretary of the DART Board in 2000. A former Rowlett mayor, he is an attorney with the firm of Glast, Phillips and Murray.
Adkisson is a Dallas representative and was first appointed to the DART Board in 1998. She is a partner in MindJazz -- a consulting firm that assists organizations in cross-disciplinary strategies.
