DART Santa Cops Debut Successful

DART's "Elves in Blue," the Santa Cops, delivered Christmas dinner to 41 north Texas families in need on Saturday, December 22.

The first-year event was organized by bicycle patrol officer Warren Mays and was funded by donations from members of the transit police staff. More than a dozen transit police volunteers turned out early Saturday morning to prepare and deliver the food baskets filled with turkey, stuffing, pie and all the trimmings.

Transit police officers and staff chose the recipients, most of whom are DART customers.
