DART calls meetings on proposed changes to rail alignments and stations within the Northwest Corridor's Medical Center area

DART representatives will present the latest proposed changes to the planned light rail alignment and stations serving the growing Dallas Medical Center area at a community meeting Thursday, April 3 and a public hearing Thursday, April 10. Both meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Edison Medrano Academy.

DART is in the final stages of completing the Preliminary Engineering and Environmental Impact Statement phase of the Northwest Corridor project.

At the meetings, DART staff will present information and receive public comments on proposed project changes to the rail alignment and stations between Wycliff Avenue and Inwood Road. Comments received at the April 10 public hearing will be included in the project's Final Environmental Impact Statement. Below is a summary of proposed changes:

  • Shift the Market Center/Oak Lawn Station platform and park-and-ride to an area south of Wycliff Avenue; and
  • Shift the Inwood Station platform and park-and-ride to south of Inwood.
