Ride DART and the Trinity Railway Express to Big Events at American Airlines Center

Big concerts and the big top are coming to American Airlines Center, and DART and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) will get you there in a snap. The center hosts a variety of concerts through the summer - from Simon & Garfunkel and Sarah McLachlan to the Zen Music Festival and Usher. And Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus brings "the greatest show on earth" to the center in late July and early August.

DART Shuttle Bus
Music and circus lovers can ride either of DART's light rail trains, Red or Blue, to the West End Station (at the corner of Lamar St. and Pacific Ave.). From there, a free shuttle bus - which stops at Lamar and Munger, Record and Ross or McKinney and Houston - whisks riders in comfort to American Airlines Center.

The shuttle bus operates for two hours before the scheduled event and one hour after it, with continuous service every 10 minutes. For return trips from American Airlines Center to the West End Rail Station, customers simply board the shuttle on Wichita and Victory streets on the south side of the center. Single-trip tickets ($1.25) or convenient Day Passes ($2.50) can be purchased from ticket vending machines at all rail station platforms.

Trinity Railway Express
Event-goers from the mid-cities and Fort Worth find that riding the TRE is more fun than a carload of clowns. A joint service of DART and the Fort Worth T, the TRE drops passengers off at Victory Station, directly in front of the American Airlines Center.

The TRE runs from downtown Fort Worth to downtown Dallas and has 10 stops along its path. Trains run eastbound before special events and westbound afterwards. The TRE does not operate on Sundays.

The Trinity Railway Express has a fare-zone boundary at the Tarrant/Dallas county line (between CentrePort and West Irving stations). Travel within one zone costs $1.25 for a single ride or $2.50 for a Day Pass; to travel across the boundary, passengers can purchase single-ride tickets for $2.25 or round-trip Day Passes for $4.50. Tickets are available from ticket vending machines at each station. Monthly DART and T passes also are accepted.
