Media Relations Contact: December 14, 2004 One of six public agencies nationwide Feds Honor DART for Minority Contracting The Federal Transit Administration has recognized DART with the DOT Grant Recipient Award for creating new opportunities for minority-owned and women-owned businesses during its light rail expansion.
Dixon attributed the agency's success to its innovative procurement initiatives, individual contract goal setting and extensive involvement in the solicitation process.
