Ride DART to the 2010 State Fair of Texas!

September 24 - October 17, 2010
State Fair visitors can ride the DART Rail Green Line to two stations - Fair Park Station, located on Parry Avenue at the entrance to the fairgrounds, and MLK, Jr. Station, located south of R.B. Cullum Blvd. and convenient to the MLK fairground entrance (Gate 6) and the Cotton Bowl Stadium.
Passengers riding DART Rail and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) to downtown Dallas can transfer easily to the Green Line:
- Southbound Red and Blue Line passengers transfer to the Green Line at Pearl Station.
- Northbound Red and Blue Line passengers transfer to the Green Line at Akard Station.
- TRE passengers transfer to the Green Line at Victory Station.

EXPRESS BUS SERVICE FOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2 AND SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9
Express DART bus shuttles from Bush Turnpike, Forest Lane and Pearl stations will also be available beginning approximately four hours prior to game time.Post game, return to the lot where you arrived on the bus shuttle and board the appropriate bus back to your origin station. Last bus departs from Fair Park approximately two hours after the game ends.

Additional Red Line trains from Parker Road Station to MLK, Jr. Station
will be available prior to the football games on October 2 and October 9.
Note: These trains will provide service to all stations between Parker Road and Cityplace stations. These trains will then operate as express trains through CBD and will not allow passengers to board or deboard until reaching MLK, Jr. Station. Destination sign will be EXPRESS.
Post game, Red Line trains from MLK, Jr. Station to Parker Road Station will be available until approximately 2 hours after game time.
Note: These trains operate as express service and will not allow passengers to board or deboard at Fair Park Station. These trains will stop at Baylor University Medical Center and Deep Ellum stations and all stations between Cityplace Station and Parker Road Station. These trains will not serve any downtown stations.

Additional Blue Line trains from Downtown Garland Station to West End Station
will be available prior to the football games on October 2 and October 9.
Note: These trains will serve all stations between Downtown Garland Station and West End Station. Riders will need to transfer to the Green Line at either Pearl, St. Paul, Akard or West End stations. Destination sign will be SPECIAL.
Post game, additional Blue Line trains will be available from West End Station to Downtown Garland Station.
Additional service for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights during the Fair
In addition to regularly scheduled service, Green Line will operateevery 15 minutes after 8 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Red Line and Blue Line will operate every 15 minutes after 7:30 p.m.
on Fridays (northbound service only), Saturdays and Sundays.

Note: Approximately four hours prior to game time,
there will be no Green Line train service at Victory Station.
Bus shuttles from Victory Station direct to Fair Park will be available.

board the bus to ride to Victory Station. Last bus departs from Fair Park approximately two hours after the game ends.

DART Fares Information
Fares are available at any DART Rail Station from a Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) or from your bus operator. Day Passes are valid for unlimited rides on the date of purchase only through 3 a.m. the following day. Advance discount State Fair of Texas tickets with a DART Pass are available at participating Kroger Food Stores beginning September 1, 2010.

Paratransit Services Drop Off Locations
For DART Paratransit certified customers who schedule trips to the 2010 State Fair of Texas, vans will enter at Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. (Gate 6) and turn left on Second Ave.• All State Fair drop offs and pick ups will be at the intersection of Second Ave. and Grand Ave. (opposite Gate 5 Ticket Booth)
• All Music Hall drop offs and pick ups will be at the Music Hall Disabled Parking Lot
• Vans will exit the Fair through Gate 5, Grand Avenue

2010 State Fair of Texas
HOURS:State Fair of Texas exhibit buildings open at 10 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. each Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (closing at 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).
Midway and museum opening times and closing times vary. A couple of gates open as early as 7 a.m. but only the livestock are up and about at that time.

Advance Discount State Fair of Texas Tickets with a DART Pass
The DART/State Fair Combo Ticket is $16 (value of $19 and only available at participating Kroger Food Stores beginning September 1, 2010).Buy a ticket to the Fair and ride DART to Fair Park. The price includes one-time State Fair admission and transportation on DART Rail and local buses on date of use. Ticket holder will enter date of use on the ticket and retain the dated portion of ticket for return trip on DART at end of visit.
Note: Not valid on Paratransit Services or for service on express bus routes numbered in the 200's, the TRE or the Fort Worth T. Valid during the 2010 State Fair operating season.
Tickets may be purchased from any participating Kroger store checkout counter beginning September 1, 2010.
