DART – It's All Connected ®

Transit Education

This innovative and dynamic community outreach program helps people of all ages understand how public transit works and teaches them that safely is the way to go! It's about more than public transit, though. It's about the public good. From schools and Chambers of Commerce to senior citizen and civic groups, DART's Transit Education program is making an impact on member cities.

Get on board!

Any school or group in DART's 13 member cities (Addison, Carrollton, Cockrell Hill, Dallas, Farmers Branch, Garland, Glenn Heights, Highland Park, Irving, Plano, Richardson, Rowlett and University Park) can participate.

Making transit approachable for everyone!

A few of the ways DART's Transit Education program is making a difference in the community is by reaching out to schools, senior groups and civic organizations:

  • On The GO! curriculum (grades 1-5 in English; grades 1-3 in Spanish)
  • User education on-site presentations and tours for students (grades 1-12) and adults

  • Speakers for career days, AVID, TexPREP, PTA, staff development, or special events
  • Exhibit booths
