Named in honor of the passionate arts supporter former Mayor Annette Strauss, The Annette Strauss Artist Square is an open-air venue for festivals, concerts and theatrical productions. In 2010, Annette Strauss Artist Square will have a permanent home at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in the Dallas Arts District. Situated in the middle of the downtown Dallas Arts District, The Annette Strauss Artist Square hosts some of the most diverse programs of art, music and dance in the city.

Courtyard Theater1509 H Ave.,Plano
Plano's beautiful Courtyard Theater is located in the Haggard Park Historic District, immediately adjacent to downtown Plano. A 1938 Works Progress Administration (WPA) project, the Cox Gymnasium has been a significant building in Plano's history, and has long exemplified the town's cultural and social heritage. Restoration of the Cox Gymnasium was completed in 1999, and the resulting facility is both state-of-the-art and uniquely historical.

Dallas Convention Center Theater Complex (Naomi Bruton Theatre)

The Dallas Puppet Theater performs at the AT&T Auditorium in the Women's Museum, an Institute for the Future located in historic Fair Park. The Granville Arts Center provides two elegant proscenium theatres with seating for 720 in the Main Auditorium and 200 in the Small Theatre. It is part of an Arts Complex that also includes the Plaza Theatre at 521 W. State St. in downtown Garland. All three theaters have computerized lighting systems and state-of-the-art technology. Majestic Theatre1925 Elm St., Dallas
A Renaissance-style structure designed by the nationally prominent "atmospheric theater" architect John Eberson. It is the last remaining downtown movie palace of the 1920s and was the flagship facility for Karl Hoblitzelle's legendary chain. Today, the Majestic Theatre is home to the Dallas Summer Musicals throughout the winter months, as well as many other performances by comedians, touring companies, musicians and guest lecturers.

The Music Hall at Fair Park909 First Ave., Dallas
In 1925, the City of Dallas finished construction of this cavernous 3,500-seat music hall located to the south of the Parry Avenue entrance. The Lang and Witchell design incorporated Spanish Colonial Revival detailing, primarily in the dominant square towers on the building's north side and in the paired octagonal towers on the east and west facades. In 1972, the building was expanded by Jarvis, Putty, Jarvis; they utilized the octagonal shapes of the original building as a plan-generating device for the new additions. The Music Hall is home to the Dallas Summer Musicals, the Dallas Opera and the Texas Ballet Theater, as well as other musical and theatrical productions.

Designed by Foster + Partners under Pritzker Prize-winning architect Norman Foster, the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House is engineered specifically for performances of opera and musical theatre with its stages equipped for performances of ballet and other forms of dance. A 21st century reinterpretation of the traditional "horseshoe" opera house, the Winspear Opera House's principal performance space, the Margaret McDermott Performance Hall, seats 2,200 and features retractable screens, a spacious fly-tower and variable acoustics. The Winspear Opera House will also include the Nancy Hamon Education and Recital Hall, a space that can be used for smaller performances seating audiences up to 200, as well as classes, rehearsals, meetings and events. Resident companies of the AT&T Performing Arts Center that perform in the Winspear Opera House include the Dallas Opera and the Texas Ballet Theater.
