Parking Reduced As Construction Begins On Illinois Station Platforms, Effective October 1, 2019

DART's platform extension project, which will soon allow 3-car trains to serve the entire system, comes to Illinois Station on October 1.

Customers who park at Illinois Station are advised that construction equipment needed for this work will be housed in the lot north of E. Louisiana Ave., temporarily reducing the station's available parking capacity (please see map below).

We apologize for the temporary inconvenience as we build for your future. Please use caution in and around construction sites.

Rail Weekend rail service suspended
Downtown Dallas Only
through Fall 2019

NOTICE: DART Rail will operate weekend service in downtown Dallas
on Saturday, August 31 through the end of the State Fair of Texas. There will be no track improvement work done on these dates.

Rail replacement work resumes in downtown Dallas following the State Fair of Texas.

Track Improvements and Rail Replacement will:

  • Create a smoother ride through downtown
  • Eliminate ongoing maintenance issues
  • Increase the number of areas where trains can switch tracks, which will reduce service disruptions

During Construction:

DART Rail in downtown Dallas will be discontinued each weekend beginning March 30, for roughly six months, to allow track replacement along Pacific Avenue and Bryan Street. DART will replace worn light rail tracks, add and repair crossovers, and repair streets and drainage along the rail corridor.

Interrupted Rail Segments:

Several shuttle bus routes will be in operation

Two routes stop at every Central Business District station. Two express routes connect Pearl/Arts District Station, West End Station and Victory Station. One express route travels between Mockingbird Station and Bachman Station.

Look for the sign

Buses will load and unload at the red "Rail Disruption" bus stop located near each station. Signs on the rail platform will point you to these bus stops.
