May 21-23 The Lonestar Invitational is a boys youth basketball tournament in its first year. The tournament operated by Ohiobasketball and TFN Camps and Clinics, Inc. will consist of separate divisions for boys ages 5th - 11th Grade. The tournament takes place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, 650 S. Griffin St. Information:

June 19 The 2021 Form Follows Fitness 5K race will be held on June 19 with a new start time of 8:00 a.m. The 10th Anniversary of the Form Follows Fitness 5K, presented by Blackson Brick will feature a live run/walk at Klyde Warren Park, as well, for those not quite comfortable yet to participate in a live event, it will also feature a virtual run/walk from June 19th thru June 30th. The FFF5K also features 12 weeks of free fitness challenges starting with the week of March 28th, kicking off April's National Architecture Month and "running" through race week. The start/finish of the race is at Klyde Warren Park, 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway. Information:

July 14 and 18 The 16th edition of Concacaf's flagship men's international competition, the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup, will crown the best men's national team in the region. The Cotton Bowl stadium in Fair Park will host group and knockout stage matches of this year's edition of the Concacaf Gold Cup. The group stage featuring 16 national teams will begin on July 10 and will be played in a hub-city format, reducing team travel to prioritize the safety of all involved. Information: and
