Service Change – Effective February 2, 2026
Based on the feedback you shared last year, DART has minimized the impact to your service.
On February 2, 2026, DART will implement service changes that include discontinuation of low-performing bus routes and weekday rail and bus frequency changes.
Weekday Light Rail Frequency Change
DART Light Rail lines (Red, Blue, Green, Orange) will now operate at 20-minute peak frequency (previously 15-minute peak frequency) on weekdays. Off-peak weekday and weekend frequency will not change.
Convention Center Station – Closed as of January 5, 2026
Due to construction at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, DART’s Convention Center Station will be closed to riders for a few years until work around the station is complete. Trains will be able to pass through the station, but passengers will not be able to board or deboard at that stop. Likewise, the bus bays at the station will also close on Jan. 5, 2026, and stops will be relocated to nearby streets.
