2005 Poetry in Motion series

DART and community join in poetry celebration

DART wraps up National Poetry Month with an evening of poetry reading at Borders Books and Music on Thursday, April 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. Local poets and DART officials join students from Richland College as they read some of the poems selected this year for DART's Poetry In Motion series.

Poetry In Motion promotes classic poems, as well as works of local poets, by placing them in prominent on-board advertising spaces on DART buses and light rail vehicles throughout the year. DART works in coordination with the Poetry Society of America (PSA) and local business to enhance public exposure to poetry in the DART service area.

DART Board Member, Beatrice A. Martinez, welcomes Richland College and community to the Poetry in Motion event at Borders Books and Music.
