Dallas Representative Huelon Harrison Named Chairman of DART Board of Directors
Board members also elected Mark Enoch vice chairman, Linda Koop secretary and Angie Chen Button assistant secretary. Officers serve one-year terms. Harrison is a vice president and senior lender with Bank One specializing in urban banking and small business lending. He recently was elected vice chairman of the Executive Council, Transit Board Member's Committee of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA). His other community involvement includes serving as chairman of the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, as a trustee of the Dallas African American Museum and, previously, as chair of the City of Dallas Urban Rehabilitation Standards Board. Enoch, who represents Rowlett, Garland and Farmers Branch, was appointed to the DART Board in 1997. He was elected assistant secretary in 2000. A former Rowlett mayor, he is an attorney with the law firm Glast, Phillips and Murray. Koop was appointed to the DART Board in 1999 by the Dallas City Council. A longtime community volunteer and civic leader, Koop was a member of the Dallas Park and Recreation Board prior to joining the DART Board. Chen Button, who represents Garland, was appointed to the DART Board in 2002. She is a marketing manager for Texas Instruments and has been with the company for 22 years. -- 30 -- |
