DART's new CNG bus on display at 2013 DFW Auto Show

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will display a new 40-foot bus and give customers a chance to win a free weekly pass at the 2013 DFW Auto Show at the Dallas Convention Center, Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17.

DART employees will staff a booth at the event and greet riders at the Convention Center Station. They will be on hand to answer customer questions, provide giveaway prizes and give visitors a chance to pose for a photo as a DART rail operator.

The bus is part of an order of 459 new compressed natural gas (CNG) heavy-duty, low floor buses built by North American Bus Industries, Inc. of Anniston, Alabama. DART began placing approximately five new buses a week into service in February to replace the current fleet of liquefied natural gas and clean diesel buses that began service in 1998. The full fleet conversion is scheduled for completion in 2015.
