DART, Rowlett Dedicate New Park & Ride June 30

Officials from DART and Rowlett will celebrate the opening of the new Rowlett Park & Ride at a special community premiere on Friday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. The facility is located on the southeast corner of Industrial Street and Martin Drive (Mapsco 30-D).

The Rowlett Park & Ride opened for customers on May 22, during DART's latest bus service change. The Park & Ride features an enhanced passenger shelter and parking for 326 cars. Other amenities will be added when the site is eventually redeveloped as a DART light rail station.

Bus routes serving the Park & Ride include Express Route 207, between Rowlett and downtown Dallas; Route 412 serving the Lake Ray Hubbard and Garland Central Transit Centers, as well as businesses along State Highways 78 and 190, and the new DART On-Call service.

DART On-Call, a shuttle van service, opened for business on May 22. Between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, residents can call 214-822-CALL (2255) for trips between their homes and the new Rowlett Park & Ride, or during midday hours to other local destinations.
