In 2006, Johnson's support helped DART win its largest award ever -- a landmark $700-million Full Funding Grant Agreement from the Federal Transit Administration to help fund the Green Line. The $1.8 billion Green Line was completed in December 2010. The 28-mile line provides light rail access to areas of Southeast Dallas and Pleasant Grove, Fair Park, the American Airlines Center, Dallas Market Center, Southwestern Medical District, Love Field airport, and the cities of Farmers Branch and Carrollton.
