DALLAS ,TX, September 29, 2026 – The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Police Department will host its annual National Night Out on Tuesday, October 6, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. 

The public is invited to meet DART police, fare enforcement officers, staff and neighbors at the parking lot of police headquarters, 2111 South Corinth Street Road, Dallas, located at Illinois Station on DART's Blue Line. 

“National Night Out is a great opportunity for our DART Police officers and our community to come together, get to know one another and build stronger relationships,” said DART Police Chief Charlie Cato. “We look forward to welcoming families, neighbors and DART riders for an evening of fun, safety and community.” 

DART's National Night Out is fun for the entire family, featuring health and wellness literature, crime prevention and safety information, food, beverages and music. Guests can meet members of the DART Police Department, learn more about safety and crime prevention, and connect with others in the community. 

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and providing a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
