Starting June 15

DART Rail on track to Plano;
Construction prompts brief traffic stops

Motorists crossing portions of Parker Road, Park Boulevard, 22nd, 18th, 15th and 14th streets in downtown Plano may experience brief traffic interruptions as DART continues work on the light rail line scheduled to open in June 2003.

Construction work is scheduled between 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will last no longer than 15 minutes. The affected area is bounded by Avenue K to the east and Avenue G to the west, Parker Road on the north and 14th to the south. The affected intersections will be closed as construction crews move sections of light rail track into position.

This portion of the construction program is scheduled to continue through July.
