Media Relations Contact: January 3, 2012 Outreach plan includes Twitter chat on January 17 DART taking public comments on proposed route changes Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is holding a series of public meetings starting January 9 to receive comments on proposed July 30 and December 3 route and service changes. The changes are associated with the opening of the DART Rail Orange Line to Irving in July and the Blue Line extension to Rowlett in December as well as an Orange Line extension also in December. A public hearing is scheduled on January 24. Public input is important since some bus routes are proposed for reduction or elimination, others would be extended or shortened to serve rail stations, and new routes would be created as station feeders. Details are available at DART.org/meetings and in a service change brochure available on DART buses and trains and at all agency facilities.
