DART To Modify Service During New Year's Eve Festivities

DART light rail is the way to ride in the New Year in downtown Dallas.

Most DART services will run on a Sunday schedule on New Year's Eve, but light rail will operate past midnight with the final northbound and southbound trains departing West End Station at 2 a.m. Trinity Railway Express commuter rail service will not operate on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.

Because of the downtown Dallas 2001 New Year's Eve celebration, buses normally traveling along Main and Griffin streets will be rerouted starting 6 a.m., Sunday, New Year's Eve.

Here are the affected routes:



Route 11 (westbound from Peavy/Skyline)		 Route 44 (northbound from Malcolm X)
Route 11 (eastbound from Hampton Station) Route 44 (southbound from Brookhaven/RHD)
Route 12 (inbound from Dixon) Route 50 (eastbound from Cockrell Hill)
Route 19 (eastbound) Route 51 (inbound from Bickers)
Route 19 (westbound) Route 60 (inbound from White Rock)
Route 26 (southbound) Route 161 (inbound from Buckner/Cheyenne)
Route 26 (northbound) Route 161 (inbound from Glen Oaks)
Route 39 (inbound from Love Field) Route 164 (inbound)
Route 42 (eastbound from Hampton Station)
