DART to the "Street Party" in Deep Ellum
Spring is here - what better time for outdoor fun! Let DART jumpstart the season by taking you to the Deep Ellum Arts Festival and the Camper Scamper 5K Run for only $2.50 for a Day Pass.
Deep Ellum Arts Festival
Getting there is easy: Just take the DART Rail Blue or Red Line to the West End Station and walk across the street to the CBD West Transfer Center. From there, DART Bus Route 37 drops you off just a block from the Deep Ellum Arts Festival on Main Street. The free outdoor street party features visual artists, poetry slams, muralists, fashion shows, dancers, the renowned pet parade, food and drinks. There are three outdoor stages with non-stop performances by more than 65 national, regional and local bands. The event starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 7 and runs through Sunday. Camper Scamper 5K Run
Get ready for the run of your life at the Camper Scamper 5K run at Reverchon Park April 8. Take the early trip on the DART Rail Blue or Red Line to Union Station and walk a block north to catch Bus Route 29 on Wood and Market to Reverchon Park. Register on-site at 7 a.m. to join the 1-mile run starting at 8:30 a.m. and the 5-mile run at 9 a.m. After the run, stick around for fun and games at the Camper's Corral, including a kidfish fishing tank, rock climbing, water war, face painting, crafts, music and games for the whole family.
