December meetings set for Carrollton, Farmers Branch rail corridor
DART officials have scheduled three public meetings to gather information for the Northwest Corridor Environmental Impact Statement from residents in neighborhoods along the Northwest light rail corridor linking downtown Dallas to Farmers Branch and Carrollton. The line is targeted for completion in 2008.
The meetings are designed to determine the scope and significance of issues related to the proposed light rail plan, including the alignment, location of stations and any environmental issues, such as noise, vibration and cultural resources along the Northwest light rail corridor. Earlier this year DART completed a two-year-long Major Investment Study of transportation alternatives in this area.
