FTA Funds TOD Study of DART's D2 Project Stations

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has awarded Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) $1 million to plan for transit-oriented-development (TOD) at five stations along the planned two-mile Downtown Dallas (D2) Subway.

The D2 Subway project is a future second light rail line through downtown Dallas that extends from Victory Park to Deep Ellum while adding four new stations and relocating another.

The funded TOD study includes one surface station (Museum Way), three underground stations (Metro Center, Commerce, and CBD East) and the relocated Deep Ellum Station from just north of Gaston Avenue to just south of Live Oak Street (now referred to as Live Oak Station).
