Holidays mean schedule changes for DART

DART services will run on an adjusted schedule during the Christmas holiday.

DART bus and light rail services will follow a Saturday schedule on Friday, December 24, Christmas Eve, and a Sunday schedule on Saturday, December 25, Christmas Day.

The Trinity Railway Express will not run Christmas Day. The rail line will operate on a modified Saturday schedule on Friday, Christmas Eve, with the first train leaving South Irving Station at 6:05 a.m. Trains will depart every hour with the last train leaving South Irving Station at 11:05 p.m.

Due to traditionally low traffic volumes during the holidays, and the need to perform routine maintenance, the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane on I-30 East R.L. Thornton will be closed the weeks of December 20 and December 27. It will re-open on January 3. The reversible S-ramp at the southern end of the I-35E Stemmons HOV lanes will be closed during the same time. The remaining portion of the Stemmons HOV lanes and the HOV lanes on LBJ Freeway will be open 24 hours a day as usual.

DART Paratransit Services for customers with disabilities will operate a Sunday schedule on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This means that regular subscription trips are canceled and any customer needing service those days must call two days in advance to schedule their trips. Customers should call 214-515-7272 and choose Option 3 to schedule their trip.

DART administrative offices are closed both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. However, customers with questions about DART schedules may still contact Customer Service at 214-979-1111 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas. Schedule information is also available on the DART website, www.DART.org.
