July 4 schedules set for DART, TRE

Independence Day falls on a Friday in 2014, and Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) are making schedule changes for the day.

On the July 4 holiday all DART services will run on a Sunday schedule including light rail and buses while the TRE commuter rail will not operate between Dallas and Fort Worth.

DART Paratransit will be on a Sunday schedule and all subscription trips will be cancelled. X-Press Booking and Voice Mail Booking is available, but the Paratransit Scheduling Center will be closed. Customers may call, on Wednesday, July 2, to book their trips through Friday, July 4, and Thursday, July 3, to book trips through Saturday, July 5.

DART administrative offices, Customer Care Center and Lost and Found will be closed, but customers can still contact the Customer Information Center at (214) 979-1111 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Route and schedule information is always available at www.DART.org and information on special holiday destinations is available at www.DART.org/fireworks.
