Leave the driving to DART during High Five construction

With convenient free parking and bus service from Plano, Richardson and North Dallas, DART is the way to ease the stress of anticipated traffic congestion caused by construction of the Dallas High Five, a new interchange between LBJ Freeway and North Central Expressway.

Work on the $261-million, 5-level interchange begins in January. The Texas Department of Transportation project is scheduled for completion in five years.

A $4 DART Day Pass offers unlimited access to DART's bus and rail network. Monthly passes are available at many convenient locations and online at DART.org. Five bus routes connect Plano and Richardson with downtown Dallas and North Irving, departing from easily accessible park & ride locations. Light rail service all the way to Richardson is only months away.

Express Route 200
This route provides frequent service from the East Plano Transit Center to downtown Dallas during rush hours.

Express Route 201
This route travels from the Richardson Transit Center to downtown Dallas every 10 minutes during rush hours.

Express Route 234
This route begins at the East Plano Transit Center (Archerwood Street between East Park Boulevard & Parker Road), stops at the Richardson Transit Center (Greenville north of Arapaho) and proceeds via the 635 HOV facility to the North Irving Transit Center (North O'Connor Boulevard & Northwest Highway).

Route 360
This route, which runs north and south between Coit Road in Dallas and Park Boulevard in Plano, connects to downtown express bus service at the East Plano, Richardson and North Central transit centers. The North Central Transit Center is on Coit Road, south of LBJ Freeway.

Route 511
From the East Plano Transit Center or the Richardson Transit Center, this route connects during non-rush hours to Park Lane Station, which connects with the Red Line to downtown Dallas.

Light Rail Extension
In just a few months, commuters will pass the traffic jams on North Central Expressway by boarding at rail stations now under construction in Richardson and Plano. The Red Line expansion features four Dallas stations opening next July: a new aerial Park Lane Station replacing the temporary station at Park Lane, Walnut Hill Station, Forest Lane Station, and LBJ Center Station. Richardson rail stations opening July 2002 include Spring Valley Station, Arapaho Center Station and Galatyn Park Station. The State Highway 190 Station and two stations in Plano, Downtown Plano Station and Parker Road Station, are scheduled to open in 2003.

Visit DART's website, DART.org, for details on the Dallas High Five construction project and DART services in the area. Additional DART route and schedule information is available by calling 214-979-1111.
