Lynn Flint Shaw elected chairman of DART Board of Directors

Dallas businesswoman Lynn Flint Shaw has been elected chair of the DART Board of Directors. Shaw, who has served on the board since 2003, succeeds chairman Mark Enoch of Rowlett. Shaw is owner of Lynn Flint Shaw, M.C.D./C.C.C. & Associates.

Board members also elected Randall Chrisman vice chair, Robert W. Strauss secretary and John Danish assistant secretary. Officers serve one-year terms.

While on the DART Board, Shaw chaired the Project Management Committee, served as vice chair of the Planning Committee and on the External Communications, Budget/Finance and Operations committees. Shaw has held a number of leadership roles in community issues, notably serving as chair of the Arts Strategic Advisory Committee of the 2003 City of Dallas Bond Campaign, member of the Parkland Hospital Board, executive board member of the Center for the Performing Arts Foundation and on the Board of Governors and Executive Committee for the Dallas Symphony Association. She holds degrees from Xavier University of Louisiana and Louisiana State University Medical Center.

Chrisman, named to the DART Board to represent Carrollton and Irving in 2002, has been president of The Chrisman Company, a full-service commercial real estate brokerage firm, since 1989. Prior to joining the DART Board he was a member of the Carrollton Planning and Zoning Commission and the Carrollton Tree Board. Chrisman earned a BA degree from Oklahoma State University and holds a Commercial Broker License in Texas and Oklahoma.

Strauss, a 2005 City of Dallas appointee to the DART Board, is a partner in the Texas-based law firm of Strasburger & Price, L.L.P., Attorneys at Law. His primary areas of practice are real estate, housing and finance. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University, a law degree from the Brooklyn Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College of the University of New York.

Danish was appointed to the DART Board to represent Irving in 2005. An attorney in private practice, Danish is a former deputy mayor pro tem and former chairman of the Irving Planning and Zoning Commission. He holds an undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Illinois and a law degree from Southern Methodist University.
