Take DART Rail to dazzling 4th of July events

This 4th of July spend more time oohing and aahing and less time parking. Take DART Rail to a variety of breath-taking Independence Day events just steps from the following rail stations:

Downtown Garland Station (July 1-4)
The Star Spangled Fourth in downtown Garland is true to its theme of "With Liberty and Fun for All" featuring four big days and nights of entertainment, food, shopping on the square, carnival rides and fireworks. Featured entertainers include legendary rock band Styx, jazz singer Jeffrey Osbourne and country crooner Tracy Lawrence. Information is available at www.starspangledfourth.com. The last DART train leaves Downtown Garland Station at 12:45 a.m. Saturday through Monday and 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

Galatyn Park Station (July 4)
Patriotic Pops is the Plano Symphony Orchestra's annual musical salute to the red, white and blue at the Eisemann Center at Galatyn Park Station in Richardson. Tickets for the 3 p.m. concert are $8-$29. Concert information is available by calling 972-473-7262 or by visiting www.planosymphony.org.

Pearl Station (July 4)
The Dallas Wind Symphony's Star-Spangled Spectacular is set for the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, 2301 Flora St. Shows are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. with patriotic music, hot dogs, indoor fireworks and a red, white and blue costume contest. Dallas Booms! (July 3)
Dallas Booms! features fireworks and a free Dallas Symphony Orchestra concert. Dallas City Hall Plaza is the location for the event that begins at 8:30 p.m. DART's Convention Center Station is only blocks away from the excitement.

Getting there - or to any holiday event - is convenient and easy. Simply go to a DART Rail Station and buy a Day Pass (good for round-trip service) from a Ticket Vending Machine. Then, take the train to events in Garland, Plano, Richardson or Dallas.
