Media Relations Contact: May 16, 2000 DART Light Rail Construction Update Part of North Dallas DART Rail Service Provided By Buses Last Two Weekends in May Customers who ride DART's Red Line light rail to Park Lane Station will be riding a bus for part of the trip the last two weekends of May. Blue Line rail service to Mockingbird Station will not be affected by the construction. Mockingbird Station is the northernmost stop on the Blue Line. The construction is part of DART's Blue Line light rail expansion into northeast Dallas and Garland. This extension of the Blue Line from DART's Mockingbird Station will reach White Rock Lake Station near Northwest Highway in fall 2001 and downtown Garland in fall 2002. -- 30 -- |
