Strauss re-elected DART Board Chair

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) board of directors re-elected Robert W. Strauss as their chair for the coming year.

Strauss, a partner at the Dallas-based law firm of Strasburger & Price, LLP, holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University, a law degree from Brooklyn Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College, City University of New York, and was appointed to the DART board by the Dallas city council in 2006.

Plano and Farmers Branch representative Faye Moses Wilkins was re-elected vice chair. Appointed to the board in 1999, Wilkins is president of The Wilkins Group, Inc., a telecommunications and systems integration firm headquartered in the Richardson Telecom Corridor.

Also re-elected were Richard Carrizales, an attorney in private practice and a Dallas representative since 2010, as secretary and Gary Slagel, who represents Richardson, Addison, Highland Park and University Park, as assistant secretary. Slagel is President and Chief Executive Officer of CapitalSoft, Inc., a software development firm.
