Trinity Railway Express Game Train Announces Schedule Change

It was a no-brainer that Dallas Mavericks and Stars fans would want to leave their cars and avoid the parking hassle at Reunion Arena on game nights by riding the Trinity Railway Express Game Train.

The commuter rail service, which allows fans to park free and party all the way to the game, has been enormously popular. Now that the Mavericks have changed their starting time to 7:30 p.m., T and DART officials have announced a schedule change for all weekday and Saturday Mavericks games during February, March and April.

Effective February 15, the Game Train leaves the TRE Richland Hills Station at 6:26 p.m. weekdays for Dallas with stops at Hurst-Bell Station at 6:35 p.m., CentrePort DFW Airport at 6:50 p.m., West Irving at 6:55 p.m., South Irving at 7:01 p.m., Medical/Market at 7:11 p.m., with arrival at Union Station at 7:19 p.m. Weekday Game Train service includes three return trips from Union Station (just steps away from Reunion Arena) after each night game at 10 p.m., 11:05 p.m. and 12:10 a.m.

On Saturdays, the Game Train for the Mavericks games leaves Richland Hills at 6:25 p.m. with arrival at Dallas Union Station at 7:14 p.m. Return trips from Union Station after Saturday night games are at 10:15 p.m., 11 p.m. and midnight.

Game Train fares are $2 per person each way in Tarrant County or $1 per person each way in Dallas County. The Richland Hills Station is located at 7225 Burns St. in Richland Hills. The Hurst/Bell Station is located at 3232 Bell Spur in Fort Worth. CentrePort/DFW Airport Station is at 14470 Statler Blvd., southeast of Trinity Blvd. and SH 360. Richland Hills Station and Hurst/Bell have Saturday Game Train service only on Stars and Mavericks game days.

The Trinity Railway Express is a joint project of the T and DART with the Fort Worth Intermodal Center at Ninth and Jones Street in downtown Fort Worth scheduled to open in late fall, linking downtown Dallas with downtown Fort Worth.
