Vanpool agreement approved by DART
Media Relations Contact: October 14, 2019 Vanpool agreement approved by DART The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Board has approved an interlocal agreement with the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) for the funding of a vanpool services program. Currently, the program has 183 vans in operation with 1,353 participants using vehicles that hold seven to 15 passengers. The vans are used for trips that cannot be made using other DART services and is available anywhere in Dallas, Ellis, Collin, Hunt, Rockwall, Kaufman and Navarro counties. NCTCOG's federal funds would offset 35 percent of program costs while 60 percent would come from the users and 5 percent from DART in-kind services.
